It's official: Our first 48 hours are behind us! The project saw an incredible swell of support over the last two days that has brought the campaign well over $7K in funding - That's 63% of our goal in only 2 days! I can't thank everyone enough for the support.

As the project moves into its third day, the plan is to keep things fresh with new Add-Ons and events, so stay tuned and be sure to leave your suggestions in the comments if there is something you would like to see in the Add-Ons or Stretch Goals.

Day 1 Recap & What's Ahead

Greetings Adventurers! The first day of the Firelight Kickstarter is officially behind us, so let's take a look at what we've accomplished before turning ahead to look at the future of the campaign.

What You've Done

What have you done so far? Lots! In the first 24 hours of our campaign, the Firelight community:

• Reached 49% funding on our campaign goal - That's over $5,500!
• Grew to over 100 unique backers
• Knocked our "Sharing" Achievement out of the park with over 250 shares on social media
• Unlocked the "Facebook" Achievement for liking the HobbyHorse Games page over 100 times
• Crushed the "Twitter" Achievement for following @HobbyHorseGames on Twitter over 950 times
• Joined the conversation with 19 comments made on the campaign page

What's Ahead

It's great to see so much support coming in on Day 1, but we want to make sure and keep that momentum going as the campaign progresses. That's why we're announcing a series of regular events which will expand Firelight over the next few weeks.

Livestreams

• Tonight (Wednesday, July 12th) at 8pm PST, Eric will host a live Q&A for Firelight using Kickstarter Live. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about the product, as well as to provide suggestions for what you would like to see in future updates. 
• Additional streams may be planned afterwards depending on demand!

Add-Ons

• Extra Add-Ons are planned for the Kickstarter campaign. The first will berevealed tomorrow (Thursday, July 13th).
• Post your suggestions for Add-Ons in tonight's live chat, and your item could be next!

Podcasts

• Firelight creator Eric Woods will be featured on the Paper Herald podcast. We'll update with the podcast when it's live!

We've Hit 100 Backers!

The Firelight campaign crossed a major milestone this morning, with 100 backers on the campaign in less than a day! A huge thank you to everyone who has pledged so far!

A few other updates - In just 22 hours we have reached 944 Twitter followers and 47% funding on the campaign. Remember, if we can reach 950 followers, 100% funding, and 3 photos shared by 8am PST on Thursday, July 13th, you'll unlock a special bonus gift inside of every Firelight box! We're almost at 50% funding and not quite one full day into the campaign, so I really think we can do it.

20% Funded, 1 Achievement Down, and New Art + Shipping Details Added!

It's time for our first update - How exciting! 

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to all of the early backers on Firelight. We have already hit 20% funding (okay, 19.6% - but let's round it) and the project has only been live for a few hours. If and when Firelight succeeds, it is because of you, and that means the world to myself and everyone else who worked on the game. So THANK YOU!!!

Continuing with that theme, it looks like the community has already completed one of our Backer Achievements! The "50 shares" Achievement has been completely obliterated, with over 70 shares coming in during the first 3 hours. Nice job! We're also just one more Facebook "Like" away from hitting our Facebook goal. Remember, if we hit all of the first 5 Achievements in the first 48 hours, each Firelight copy will include a bonus gift to show our gratitude!

Additional artwork has also been added to the bottom of our page. If you'd like to see what types of images you can expect to see in our "Embers" Art & Lore Book Add-On, just head down to the "Our Artwork" section, where you'll see some really incredible work from our talented artists. There's a lot more where that came from, too - We've had over 50 pieces of artwork made for the game, and all that plus development sketches and several pieces of short fiction will be included with the book.

Finally, a detailed shipping breakdown has been added to the bottom of the page. Nothing has changed regarding shipping, but I thought it might help to clearly spell out things such as VAT (there won't be any! Woohoo!), etc.
